January 2021 Meeting Announcement

The next Latin Club meeting will be held today, the 18th of January. It will be done via Zoom at 7:00 PM, Dr. G sent out the email with the link to the meeting. We will be doing Certamen, so I suggest studying up and going over your Latin grammar, history and your mythology to get the most fun you can. If you've never seen Certamen before, here is a video of an NJCL Novice round.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zzz1GKIyWcI

You should review form charts for verbs, nouns, and adjectives. This page looks like a really good prep page You only need to look at the level 1 parts.https://fhslatinclub.wordpress.com/language/

Here is another page of study aids. https://www.fjcl.org/2019.html

RIP Drew Boldt

Many of you have probably heard about the young man from Wisconsin who was murdered at Purdue University last week. What you might not know is that he was one of our fellow WJCLers at the State Latin Convention as recently as 2010 (He was from Marquette University High School and served as tech coordinator). Please pray for him and his family. Here are a few links that might be of interest:

Latin Broadcasts From Finnish Radio Station

Hey Guys ,

Here is a link that was passed on to me by one of our illustrious former members. It's to a Finnish radio station that does a weekly broadcast in Latin. The link is for one they did about Pope Ameritus Benidict XVI stepping down. Vale!
