We are the Dead Language Latin Club, and our mission is to promote the love and study of the Roman language and culture. Our current projects:
-Translating Philemon
-Reading The Aeneid
-Studying the fall of the Roman republic by reading the lives of the key players in that event (Caesar, Pompey, Crassus, Cato the Younger, Octavian, Cicero, Antony, Marcus Brutus, Sylla)
Not only by such study of the classics do we equip our minds to grapple with the world around us, but we do so in the spirit of friendship and camaraderie. (At our last meeting, the team having accumulated the most points in competition was awarded a donated copy of Corneille's Le Cid in English translation.)

What we are doing right now
Salvete! We are now in the third year of existence and are still going strong. We are planning on having a Latin themed party for our December Meeting. Please feel free to come. All members, Triumvirate members, Senators for Life and anyone else who is interested in being a Pleb are welcome to come.
We are also preparing for the WJCL Convention in Madison. We will be learning the story of the Aeneid through preparing and performing skits for the next three meetings.
Next meeting we will be voting on the Bylaws written up by an Ad Hoc Committee.
